Introduction of pre-entry skills tests

Once an applicant has submitted an application form for an ITT course, he or she will be eligible to book skills tests via the DfE website.”

Introduction of charges for re-sits

Skills tests candidates will continue to receive their first attempt at each test free of charge but will be charged for re-sits from 1 September 2012. A charge of £19.25 will be levied at the time of booking a test on-line (price as at 31 August 2014 ).

The pass mark for skills tests

Practice tests

All candidates are encouraged to use the practice material available on the DfE website, www.education.gov.uk. The practice material includes interactive tests which will help candidates to decide if they are ready to take the test or need to improve their skills further before booking a test.

I was offered a job at the end of March. The headteacher had spotted me at the SCITT interview a year before and had been watching me for a whole year. I had my second placement in their school in January and loved it. It was like they were competing with the other schools for me to apply to them.
